The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regard to the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration sassa status Outreach Programme [ICROP] sassa is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The assistance place made for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and increase entry sassa to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
